Something for everyone

There are already around 50 games that support PlayStation Move, but if you haven't yet found something to tickle your fancy there's almost certainly something for you in the line-up of titles heading to the controller in 2011. Here we pick our most-anticipated titles of the coming 12 months.

LittleBigPlanet 2

The downloadable Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves was tasty enough to whet our appetites for more motion-controlled Sackboy action, and the beta and free demo now available on PlayStation Network had us drooling even more. With far more robust tools allowing you to Play, Create and Share better than ever before, this is one title sure to do well when it reaches North America on January 18th and Europe on January 21st.

Killzone 3

Guerilla Games' futuristic shooter is set to be one of the best showcases of Move's abilities, with a new Sharp Shooter attachment designed to get the most out of the controller. DualShock 3 users and Move owners will be able to face off online in more of the game's chaotic multiplayer, with a full campaign playable with the motion controller too. Sony is pushing this as its biggest announced hardcore Move title in 2011, and based on everything we've seen it's absolutely justified. Killzone 3 reaches North America on February 22nd, with a European release to be confirmed.

Sorcery

Curiously invisible since its E3 appearance, we haven't seen or heard anything of Sorcery other than appearances on "Move Games for 2011" lists just like this one. Move finally reaches its potential as a wand, with multiple magical spells at your disposal activated by different motions with the controller, and its mixture of dungeon-based adventure and involving motion controls set this one up as one to watch in the coming 12 months.

PlayStation Move Heroes

Six characters who need no introduction to long-standing PlayStation fans – Sly, Bentley, Ratchet, Clank, Jak and Daxter – this is a Move-exclusive title that looks set to use the controller in new and innovative ways. Sony is billing the game as part of its "Move second wave", and with the heritage of its characters to draw from it could end up drawing plenty of new players to the company's motion gizmo.

Dead Space Extraction

Bundled with the Dead Space 2: Collector's Edition, Dead Space Extraction tells the story of a handful of space colonists desperately struggling to escape from an horrific infection in the furthest regions of space. The game introduces a new heroine to the fiction and, as the crew falls victim to a mysterious contagion aboard the ship, it becomes clear that protecting her may be their only hope for survival. The original Dead Space Extraction on Wii was critically well-received, and with the added benefit of the PS3's power and Move controller this HD re-release should ensure the game finds the audience it deserves.
