Japanese launch shifts 340,000 copies in 72 hours
Super Mario Galaxy 2 has already been acclaimed as one of the greatest games of all time and the Japanese game-buying public certainly seems to agree, snapping up over 340,000 copies of the title in just three days.

European and Japanese drops still happening
Yesterday we revealed that the trade price of DS consoles is due to drop in the UK following a similar announcement for Japan, so naturally we were curious whether Nintendo of America would follow suit. Sadly it seems that, if they are, we won't be hearing about it just yet.

Earlier today we reported that Nintendo is set to launch new DSi XL colours over in Japan, accompanied by a decent price cut on all DS lines. Now Nintendo UK has announced it'll be chopping down the asking price of every DS unit it sells to retailers, leaving the door open for cheaper consoles across the country.
