Pokemon Returns to European Wiis in July with PokePark: Pikachu’s Adventure

You wait ages for one Wii game starring a gaming icon set in a theme park and before you know it, a second one has come along. Yesterday we found out about Sonic Colours, today we get confirmation that PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure is heading to European Wii consoles on July 9th. It's almost too much.

Legendary gamer signs up for latest Speed Gamers crusade

With everyone and their dog being on a legal Mario high at the moment, the team over at The Speed Gamers has announced its next marathon will be taking in all the plumber's greatest titles – yes, including Hotel Mario – when it kicks off on June 11th. The plan is to take in a week's worth of constant Mario and Wario gaming, broadcast live on the Internet, to raise money for Autism Care and Treatment Today.

We at Nintendo Life Towers had mixed feelings recently when Sega announced it was delaying the promising Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 for WiiWare as we were looking forward to getting stuck into the hog's latest. Still, always one to bounce back from his disappointments – let's face it, he's had enough practice – Sonic's next adventure has just been announced by Sega in the form of Sonic Colours.

Sorry Antipodean Gamers: No Bejeweled 2 For You

PopCap confirms download title staying away from Australia and New Zealand

Fans of WiiWare in Australia and New Zealand are used to seeing titles face long delays or not make it across at all, but it still stings every time. Sadly there's more bad news: we recently interviewed PopCap's Ty Roberts who confirmed to us that Bejeweled 2 won't be heading to Nintendo's download platform Down Under.

Ty Roberts: We are working on the European release for sure. I’m hoping that will get out shortly. We’re not doing Australia or New Zealand this time around. Since we typically release digitally downloadable titles, people all over the world have access to our games already.

It's disappointing to hear this very promising title won't be available for players in Australia and New Zealand to download.
