Something I didn’t write that’s still awesome

I know this site is normally just for me, but I wanted to share a little extra something that we just published over on Nintendo Life that makes me proud of what we do.

My good friend and colleague Corbie Dillard wrote up a mammoth Nintendo 3DS FAQ that covers everything – colours, games, hardware, the lot. It’s probably the most comprehensive piece I’ve seen on the console and will only get more useful as we get more hands-on time with the machine.

Go read it. It’s good.

Know Your Enemy with Killzone 3’s Facebook Application

Warning: causes arguments

It's easy to tell who's your enemy in Killzone 3 – the glowing red eyes and guns pointed at your face are a dead giveaway – but in real life it's not so simple. Buzz! Developer Concerned by Move’s Popularity

Eyeing up the opposition

Relentless Software has put out two Move-enabled titles already, melodic competition-fest Buzz! The Ultimate Music Quiz and cheery homicide investigator Blue Toad Murder Files, that have both been reasonably well-received. Company co-founder Andrew Eades spoke to Eurogamer about the studio's future in the motion market and Move's impact so far.

My only issue with Move is if it's got enough numbers out there - whether it's sold through to enough people to make it a platform that we could aim at. But we're still not sure if Move is big enough yet for us. I hope it will be, because my dream scenario is not to be partisan in any of this, it's to have available a bigger audience.

It's unlikely that Eades is swearing off Move, but is likely weighing-up the pros and cons of creating a controller-specific social title that requires a significant outlay for each player to get the most out of the experience.
