Move would be worse off without rival
Kinect or Move? Move or Kinect? The two motion rivals seem locked in an eternal struggle to generate the most column inches in the gaming and mainstream press, but PlayStation head honcho Shuhei Yoshida is grateful it has a competitor in the field, as it wouldn't have been able to generate such interest on its own.Since we announced Move at E3 last year, I've always felt like we were lucky that Microsoft made such a big deal with Project Natal. In a broader sense, we are categorised as 'motion gaming' - if we were just doing Move, we wouldn't have had as much coverage and attention from media and consumers.Although Sony has shown itself adept at creating Kinect comparisons – check out Move vs. Stuff – the discussion between gamers about which motion control system is better is likely to rage for years.
Device surprisingly fixable
iFixit is dubbed a "free repair manual", showing readers how to take apart – and more importantly, put back together – a wide range of technological devices. One of its latest victims is the PlayStation Move controller, which fares rather well, actually.

Dreambox Games has been hard at work on Robox, polishing the little robotic box for his big debut, and that date is fast approaching. The game launches across Europe this Friday, September 24th, for 1,000 Nintendo Points.
Team Ico keeping coy
Team Ico's The Last Guardian was undoubtedly one of the highlights of this year's Tokyo Game Show, wowing many with its bizarre dog-eagle character and beautiful graphics. It's currently heading towards a release date around Christmas 2011, leaving director Fumito Ueda and team plenty of time to discuss whether Move controls will make it into the game.

The digital wizards at Q-Games have produced plenty of entries in the PixelJunk series for PS3, with Racers, Monsters, Shooter and Eden all available on the PlayStation Store. Now the company has once again teamed up with Japanese musician and Eden collaborator Baiyon to produce a new music-related title, PixelJunk Lifelike.

It probably wouldn't be unfair to say the European Move launch line-up wasn't exactly full to the brim with must-have new releases, but one title that obviously stood out from the crowd was Sports Champions, as it raced to the second slot in the UK All-Formats Charts.
