3DS Ambassador Certificate Will Keep You Informed

Free video launches tomorrow

Nintendo is about to throw a whole bunch of free games at you tomorrow — here's the free NES 3DS games for North America — but many of you are already looking ahead to when the Game Boy Advance games will launch later this year. While that date is as-yet unspecified, Nintendo is preparing to launch a download to inform you exactly when they're out.

The Ambassador Certificate is a free downloadable video that will opt you into further communications about the program, including news about what the GBA games are and when they'll be available.

That's one more thing to download tomorrow, then.

What Is the Ambassador Certificate?

Answer:

The Ambassador Certificate is a downloadable video available to Ambassadors starting on Sept. 1. Once available, you will need to download the video, just as you would any Ambassador game in the Nintendo eShop.

By tapping the receive button on the Touch Screen when viewing this video, Ambassadors will receive updates regarding the Ambassador Program, such as when new titles are available to download. As soon as details for the 10 Game Boy Advance Virtual Console titles are available, we will send an update to those who have opted in using the Ambassador Certificate.

Ambassadors will be able to download 10 Game Boy Advance Virtual Console titles for free before the end of the year.

Thanks to Sejan for the tip.

Talking Point: eShop Card Delay Proves Nintendo Still Doesn’t Get It

Why the wait?

The Nintendo 3DS eShop was supposed to be available at the console's launch, but was delayed by nearly three months. It promised to improve on the company's so-far lacklustre efforts at building a digital presence for itself, but until recently it's struggled to impress, with one of the main problems being a total lack of payment cards at retail in Europe.

Wrestle With WWE All Stars on 3DS in November

Bulging muscles in 3D

THQ's WWE All Stars on Wii was a decent attempt at an arcade take on sports entertainment, but despite the game launching on practically every format — even PS2 got a look-in — there was no portable port for Nintendo formats. That'll change later this year though, as THQ has announced WWE All Stars for 3DS.
