Charts: 5th December 2011 (UK)

Serving up eShop eCharts

It's Monday morning again and that only means one thing in these parts: eShop charts.

Accidental poetry aside, here's the list of everything that's selling well in the world of 3DS digital downloads, as collated and published by Nintendo itself.

[1] denotes last week's position. [N] indicates game is a new entry. [-] indicates a non-mover.

Zen Pinball 3D sets this week's high score, while most Virtual Console games slip a place or hold their ground. Pop Island: Paperfield continues its rise up the charts, but Pyramids drops out of the top 10, having gone from 5 to 11 in two weeks.

1. [N] Zen Pinball 3D
2. [-] Freakyforms: Your Creations, Alive!
3. [1] 3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure
4. [3] Metroid II: Return of Samus
5. [4] Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
6. [-] The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX
7. [-] Super Mario Land
8. [-] Let's Golf! 3D
9. [10] Pop Island Paperfield
10. [5] Cut the Rope
11. [10] Pyramids
12. [19] Escape Trick: The Secret of Rock City Prison
13. [11] Plants vs. Zombies
14. [20] GO Series: 10 Second Run
15. [N] 5-in-1 Solitaire
16. [12] Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!
17. [N] GO Series: Defence Wars
18. [13] Kirby's Dream Land
19. [N] Airport Mania: First Flight
20. [15] Extreme Hangman 2

After landing at number 9 on last week's chart — before the game was even released — Zen Pinball 3D pings right to the top of the popular 3DS downloads. With Pushmo on the way this week we'll finally have a complete top 10.

1. [N] Zen Pinball 3D
2. [-] Freakyforms: Your Creations, Alive!
3. [1] 3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure
4. [3] Let's Golf! 3D

6. [-] 3D Classics: Excitebike
7. [5] 3D Classics: TwinBee
8. [-] 3D Classics: Xevious
9. [7] 3D Classics: Urban Champion

Paper beats scissors and rock apparently, as Pop Island Paperfield topples Cut the Rope and Escape Trick: Rock City to claim this week's DSiWare number one.

1. [2] Pop Island Paperfield
2. [1] Cut the Rope
3. [10] Escape Trick: The Secret of Rock City Prison
4. [3] Plants vs. Zombies

7. [4] Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!
8. [15] GO Series: Defence Wars
9. [N] Airport Mania: First Flight
10. [6] Extreme Hangman 2

18. [14] Game & Watch: Donkey Kong Jr.
19. [5] Art Academy: First Semester
20. [17] Music On: Electric Guitar

The top 5 is absolutely static — hardly surprising considering the quality of the games — but newcomer Lock 'N Chase misses out on the top ten.

1. [-] Metroid II: Return of Samus
2. [-] Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
3. [-] The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX

18. [-] Tennis
19. [-] Catrap
20. [N] QIX

All-Time Best Sellers – All Downloads

No change in the top 10, but Kirby continues to climb and Zen Pinball 3D cracks the top 20 in its first week. We lose Bomberman Blitz but Shantae keeps working her magic for another week.

1. [-] 3D Classics: Excitebike

18. [N] Zen Pinball 3D
19. [18] Mario's Picross
20. [19] Shantae: Risky's Revenge

All-Time Best Sellers – 3DS Download Software

Again a static top half of the chart, but in under five days Zen Pinball has outsold Pyramids and Urban Champion. Despite being one of the best 3D Classics, TwinBee is the worst-selling piece of 3DS download software. For shame.

1. [-] 3D Classics: Excitebike
2. [-] Let's Golf 3D
3. [-] Freakyforms: Your Creations, Alive!
4. [5] 3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure
5. [4] 3D Classics: Xevious
6. [9] Zen Pinball 3D
7. [6] Pyramids
8. [7] 3D Classics: Urban Champion
9. [8] 3D Classics: TwinBee

All-Time Best Sellers – DSiWare

Popcap's morticultural classic continues devouring its challengers to remain the best-selling DSiWare download ever. Will anything topple it?

1. [-] Plants vs. Zombies
2. [-] Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!
3. [-] Tetris Party Live
4. [-] Pop Island Paperfield
5. [-] Photo Dojo
6. [-] Zenonia
7. [-] Shantae: Risky's Revenge
8. [-] Bomberman Blitz

17. [18] Soul of Darkness
18. [17] Art Style: PiCOPiCT
19. [-] Earthworm Jim
20. [-] Rayman

All-Time Best Sellers – Virtual Console

As expected, another static top 10, with Nintendo's main games hogging all the top spots.

1. [-] The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX
2. [-] Super Mario Land
3. [-] Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
4. [-] Kirby's Dream Land
5. [-] Donkey Kong
6. [-] Alleyway
7. [-] Mario's Picross
