Had a good time at #UbidayUK, though Nintendo support on way out: no Wii and only one 3DS there, and no Move either. Loads of Kinect though!

Sad sign of the times - there is nothing here on Wii at all. Rayman, Just Dance etc. are all the HD versions! #UbidayUK

About to check out The Black Eyed Peas Experience on #Kinect at #ubidayUK

Will you pick up Picross?

North America is revelling in a delight of digital downloads today, but let's see what European Nintendo fans can spend those funds on this week.

3DS Virtual Console

Mario's Picross (Game Boy, Nintendo, £3.60/€4) — Mario's first foray into the world of picture crosswords, this is developed by Jupiter, the team behind Picross on DS so certainly has quality going for it. Sadly the Virtual Console version will miss out on the original's Super Game Boy support, as did Donkey Kong '94 before it. We'll bring you a review in the coming days.

WiiWare

Successfully Learning German: Year 4 (Tivola, 500pts) — More German educational in this vorletzte release. See? It's working. Review next week.

DSiWare

Jewel Keepers: Easter Island (Nordcurrent, £4.50/500pts) — Following the game's outing on WiiWare, Nordcurrent brings its match-three puzzler with a story to DSiWare. Read our Jewel Keepers: Easter Island WiiWare review for a taste of what's to come from this DSiWare release while we polish off the review of the portable version.

Pixels and Netflix!

3DS gets its first "proper" downloadable application today in the very red form of Netflix. If you want something just a bit more interactive, there's plenty of new games to download too, as you'll read in the beautifully formatted list below.

3DS eShop

Netflix (free) — The streaming video app comes to 3DS, and is free for any Netflix members on an unlimited streaming plan. To the best of our knowledge the software will only stream 2D content, though there is the possibility of 3D content in future, but we'll be having a good poke around the software to bring you an in-depth summary.

3DS Virtual Console

Baseball (Game Boy, Nintendo, $2.99) — Mario steps up once again in this portable sports game. We'll divine its current value and assign it a score from 1 to 10 accordingly.

We pride ourselves on knowing pretty much everything there is to know about Kinect, but we're not infallible Kinect-powered robots: sometimes we miss things. This is one of those things.
