Investment opens doors
Israeli firm PrimeSense developed some of the technology that makes Kinect possible, and naturally it's now attracted the eye of investors who have pumped some $50m into the company. The money's purpose isn't known yet, and while it could be used to improve Kinect, it's more likely to end up bringing Kinect-like experiences to other formats.
