This Christmas will be the Wii's fifth holiday at retail, and there's no doubt demand for the console has cooled in recent times. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata is keenly aware of this, and knows the machine needs a strong Christmas this year or it could find itself in trouble.
I hope Sonic 4 is easy - every Sega I've played this week has kicked my arse. PS0 and Valkyria tough as nails. Give me a game I can beat!

It's a rich old time for fans of classic side-scrolling platformers: Super Mario Bros. celebrated its 25th anniversary recently, and next year – June 23rd, to be precise – is the 20th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog. With Nintendo having pushed the boat out to commemorate its iconic hero's 25th – a red Wii for Europe, Super Mario All-Stars for Europe and, er, a website for North America – Sega obviously wants to make a big noise about the blue one's birthday, with rumours pointing to a new Sonic Anniversary Collection that's perhaps not what you'd expect.

EyePet: Move Edition has just landed on the fair shores of North America, and Vice President of Everything Kevin Butler has taken to the airwaves to shout about the advanced features of the digital whatever-it-is.
One on Wii, one on DS
The announcement of new Doctor Who games on Wii and DS brought more than a ripple of excitement to the gaming world, and now we have official release dates for both games. Fans of the time-travelling Doctor will be able to get their hands on Doctor Who: Evacuation Earth for DS and Doctor Who: Return to Earth for Wii on November 12th.

Value bundle revealed
