Kid Icarus: Uprising to Show Other Control Schemes How it’s Done

The 3DS offers a huge wealth of control options for game designers to make use of: a traditional D-Pad and face buttons as well as an analogue stick, touchscreen, motion detectors and even the camera can all be used to control titles. Masuhiro Sakurai, the man in charge of bringing Kid Icarus: Uprising to the world, thinks his title will show other developers how well inventive controls can work.

Reggie’s 3DS Date Confirmation May Have Been a Mistake

Contrasting comments cause confusion

You may remember this video from the weekend: the President of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime, appeared on a popular late night talk show to play some Donkey Kong Country Returns and decided to show off a little of the 3DS as well? And when asked by the incisive interviewer "when will the console be coming out?", Mr Fils-Aime replied with "next year" and tears flowed freely around the world. Well, hope may well have returned as new rumours point this comment may have been a slip-up.
