Called Denpa Ningen RPG — or Electric Wave Person RPG, believe it or not — is an augmented reality RPG where you use the 3DS’s cameras to reveal hidden flying folk, capturing them to assemble a team to tackle a giant demon king, of course.

Different denpa ningen have their unique statistics and elemental properties, so catching a varied group is the secret to success.

Here’s one trailer but there are plenty more videos over at the official site.

Unlike wintry prequel Winter Stars, you can use either control pad or Kinect in game, with track and field disciplines alongside events such as mountain biking and diving in single-player career modes or multiplayer for up to four players.

More on Summer Stars as it arrives.

Prepare for the podium! Deep Silver announces Summer Stars

27th January 2012 – Hampshire, UK/… Ready, set, go! Deep Silver, the games label of Koch Media, a leading producer and distributor of digital entertainment products, and 49Games today announced Summer Stars – a sports game for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft (compatible with Kinect™ for Xbox 360), PlayStation®3 with PlayStation®Move support, and Wii™. Available in the second quarter of 2012, Summer Stars offers a challenging and deep career mode, multiplayer modes for up to four players and a large variety of disciplines and venues, and will deliver high replay value and hours of fun for players.

With more than 18 different disciplines & challenges, Summer Stars covers a whole range of summer sports. Players can prove their talent in disciplines like Triple Jump, Mountain Biking, Diving or Sprinting and become a top athlete in the career mode. In multiplayer mode, they can compete directly with up to three friends or family members on split screen – delivering a gripping “just one more go” experience. Summer Stars also leaves it up to the players to decide how far they will be physically involved in the gameplay: the game supports traditional arcade-style controls, as well as motion control via Kinect for Xbox 360, PlayStation Move or Wii.

Summer Stars lets players experience a large variety of events, special challenges and competitions at exciting venues, including London, the scene of the Summer Olympics and well-known stadiums and arenas around the world.

Popular European publisher Rising Star Games has revealed it's to open an office in California.

Popular European publisher Rising Star Games has revealed it’s to open an office in California.

The company has also formed Rising Star Games Digital, a — wait for it — digital publishing division for the ever-growing download market. RSG hasn’t revealed any digital plans for Nintendo formats, but said recently it will continue to release games on Nintendo platforms.

Coming to America: Rising Star Games opens US headquarters and creates new global digital label
Rising Star Games is pleased to announce its expansion into North America with the opening of its US headquarters. Reaching further west, the team will leverage their decades of European publishing experience and bring exciting new experiences to US consumers.

Based in California, Rising Star Games Inc. will launch its first product, Akai Katana for Xbox 360, in Q2 2012. Akai Katana, developed by fabled Japanese shooter specialists CAVE, will be the first title from Rising Star Games to be launched simultaneously in Europe and North America.

Further to this expansion, Rising Star Games Digital has been formed as a global digital publishing division, created with the aim of publishing the most engaging video games on digital platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network, Steam, Android and iOS devices.

Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games said, “After eight years of fantastic success in bringing the best Eastern games to Europe, we’re ready to expand our business, engaging more consumers than ever before in more territories and on digital platforms.” He continued, “Rising Star Games Digital has been something we’ve been working on for a while.
