BG&E 2 is confirmed
http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/28/beyond-good-and-evil-2-revealed-at-ubidays-2008/

While we're on the subject, you may want to read Beyond Good and Evil
Prelude to a Future Philosophy by Friedrich Nietzsche, a personal favorite philosopher of mine, and a text which I'd assume the game was named after.

While this game had a few flaws I would still consider it to be one of the best games of last generation. Its not as polished as some other games but thats because it was never given a chance to get better and even though I dont really like the voice-acting, music or the whole idea of talking animals, I still liked this game better than any of the more popular adventure games because unlike so many adventure/roleplaying games, this game was actually distinguished and recognizable.

i wouldn't say best game of this generation either... although i have yet to finish it & have had it for quite some time (for pc).
it is definitely a beautiful & pretty fun game.
my one large gripe is the method for creating save game points at those machines. perhaps this is a "feature" due to the game being for consoles as well, but for me it was quite annoying.

Can't say I agree when you say it's the best game of the generation but I will say that it is definitely one of the best. Fantastic game all around and it actually made me think about something worth thinking about long after I quit playing, which is something more games should do. It didn't do nearly as well as it should have in terms of sales.
